No my little experience in electoral politics, some of you might know i was on the Durham City Council in a previous lifetime, and it seemed to me then that one very important thing in politics is to understand your opponent, and understand where theyre coming from, what motivates them, and what theyre really trying to do. As this shows that our understanding of what is called sometimes the radical right or the all rate or the libertarian right has been very limited and there has been a philosophy and a strategy that goes back decades that is behind much of what we see in politics now and so, i think there are a few things that can be more important for those of us who dont agree with that kind of p ....

Crushed. Multiple children lost our lives today. Reporter the children on the bus all from a elementary school. Taking care of the children injured is our number one priority. Reporter police say the bus driver survived and is cooperating. The bus has a box that collects data and records video. Will help shed light on the circumstances. We have suffered a great loss today. Everyone in our community, this has been one of the worst days we have had in hamilton county. Reporter many lining up to donate blood. Hours later parent still wondering if their children are safe. These are families that do not know the status of many of children. Reporter as families are left to grieve and investigators left to figure out what caused the crash. Our thoughts, prayers, and efforts are with the families and others impacted. Chattanooga police say the bus driver is cooperating and schools will be open tomorrow. Coverage starting with amanda lamb who spoke to a woman who says she saw the exchange between the man killed and the officers . Reporter yes, apparently a lot of people saw it. Heres how it started. Members of violence Incident Response team were patrolling in the area, there because there had been an up tick in crime. They stopped to question the man, the suspect, there was a struggle, and then he was and killed. People watch the investigation unfold after one of their neighbors known as scooter bug was killed by police. So i was in the window, and i seen scooter bug come around the building. Reporter this woman who doesnt want tuberculosis identified for to be identified for fear of retaliation saw the shooting he didnt have anything, and as he was about to turn around they held him, a gun wouldnt off went off. Reporter the police chief says they got into a struggle when he suddenly reached for his waistband. They heard a gun ....
