Lightning sparked a fire at an apartment in northeast iowa this morning. Firefighters from four departments responded just after 5 this morning to the apartment at main and jefferson streets. Firefighters say no one was hurt in the fire. In polk city, a person died after a house caught on fire. Firefighters responded to the home, located north of des moines, just before 9 last night. Fire investigators are still trying to figure out what sparked the flames. It took crews about 15 least 1 person did escape, but crews found a body of someone else in the basement.
