Armory project moves forward amid tight construction market

WOONSOCKET – A New Hampshire-based developer is moving forward with his plans to turn the former Woonsocket Armory into an arts center, though city officials are split on how many incentives to offer the project.
Brian Thibeault, who also owns the Pawtucket Armory Arts Center and The Times building in Pawtucket, told The Breeze he has closed on the purchase of the South Main Street property from Saint James Baptist Church. Over the past year, he said, he’s done minor work to protect the building from further water damage. ....
