Marjorie Vogt

Marjorie L. Vogt, affectionately known as Margie, passed away on February 17, 2024, at Bethany on the Lake in Alexandria. She was born in Dixon, Illinois, on September 5, 1931, to Myron and Alice (Erickson) Willey. She graduated from Dixon High School in 1949. She was the captain of her 8th grade softball team and was proud their team won the championship. She used her pitching skills later on when playing ball with her children. She worked at the Dixon Home Telephone Company as a telephone operator while attending school and after graduation. The telephone company complimented her on her abilities to sequence complicated telephone calls. She was married to Henry E. Vogt of Rock Falls, Illinois on December 16, 1949, in Dixon, Illinois. In 1951, they moved to a farm near Lamberton, Minnesota. In addition to farming, Margie worked at Control Data Corporation in Redwood Falls, Minnesota for seven years.
