Show Transcript CRITICAL CONDITION TONIGHT. THE POLICE RECEIVED A 911 CALL SHORTLY BEFORE 4:00 YESTERDAY AFTERNOON ABOUT THE SHOOTING. THEY FOU 27-YEAR-OLD DEON TREY OTIS DEAD AT THE SCENE AT MONTANA AVENUE. POLICE SAY THE SUSPECT TOOK OFF IN A BLACK OR GREEN SUV. THEY HAVE NOT ANNOUNCED ANY ARREST. INTEGRITY, BRAVERY, HONOR. THOSE ARE THE WORDS USED DESCRIBE HAMILTON COUNTY DEPUTY DONA GILREATH THE THIRD AS HE WAS LAID TO REST TODAY. GILREATH DIED AFTER CONTRACTING COVID-19. TONIGHT HIS FAMILY AND FRIENDS REMEMBERED HIS LIFE DURING A HEARTFELT SERVICE. A SERVICE FOR A MAN WHO SERVES ON MANY. DEPUTY DONALD GILREATH, REMEMBERED BY THOSE WHO LOVE HIM MOST, HIS FAMILY. CINCINNATI â A Hamilton County Sheriff s Deputy who died last week of COVID-19 symptoms will be laid to rest Wednesday.
Deputy Donald Gilreath III, who served with the sheriffâs office since April 7, 2005, passed away on Friday. He worked in the Hamilton County Jail through the pandemic, though it is unclear if he contracted the virus at the jail.
Services will be held Wednesday at Mihovk-Rosenacker Funeral Home at 10211 Plainfield Rd.
