Just a few months ago back in september, we observe the 200th anniversary of that moment. Today, and the rest of this weekend, we are observing the 200th anniversary of the end of the war of 1812 and the treaty of ghent. That is what we will be talking about today. What was the treaty of ghent . What was the war of 1812 . As we go through slides, please dont hesitate to call out the question or ask me to back up if i go too fast.
