It may be a new year, but it is still the old Doctor Curmudgeon.
She has achieved some renown for her question and answer calls which had also been published by a local newspaper.
And so, a local radio station has decided, in their infinite wisdom and courage, to have the physician on the air for a call in session.
In further proof of the station’s bravery, the program manager has decided not to censor these calls. There will be no time lag wherein the producer can hear the call and the physician’s answer before being aired. This unsuspecting gentleman undoubtedly believed that since he was able to survive a climb of Mount Kilimanjaro in his youth…what could possibly go awry with hosting a local, respected physician answering questions? ....

On Planet Earth, there does exist Curmudgeonland. And as most of you know, Dr. Curmudgeon is proud to consider herself a denizen of this growing group.
Also on this planet, there exist a few beginning journalists who are anxious to find filler. Any filler.
And so, Doctor Curmudgeon has, on occasion, responded to a very green and anxious journalist by hosting a question and answer column. The column is live, and at the same time, quickly typed by the unsuspecting reporter into a previously respected newspaper as part of their lifestyle features. The fledgling journalist has not time to read what she is typing. He just types away, thrilled by his own touch typing facility. ....

Long time readers of the thoughts, rants and mutterings of Doctor Curmudgeon have followed me since the Neolithic Age when I first began scrawling on clay tablets.
But for those readers who are more recent, I will reintroduce my Great-Great-Great Grandmother, Dr. Cranky Wangshaw-Vesalius-Steinberger. She was one of the rare women to be a physician in the Victorian Era. She was in practice with her husband, the very, very famous Dr. Yevgeny Vesalius-Steinberger. ....
