white house has really been minimal at best since the discovery of these classified documents. you have president biden yesterday ignoring and shouting questions from reporters. twice at the white house and then for three days in a row this week, press secretary kareen jean pierre referred most of our questions about this topic to the justice department, the special counsel s office. she read statements from the white house counsel s office and reaction to the mishandling of these classified documents earlier this week. that is really essentially the posture that the white house has had since this was discovered. that is really the posture that green chunkier had when my colleague kristen welker asked her whether president biden would be willing to sit down with the special counsel if asked for an interview to be able to fully cooperate with the special counsel probe. take a listen to what she had to say. again, that is something that i do not have a magic wand here. i don
your votes color in the midterm map. follow the money and the big names and many of the critical races are jump balls. today president biden is in florida, even though democrats have little hope in the big races there, yet he will warn republicans wins would put social security and medicare at risk and he will attend two big fund-raisers, plus, a confession. court documents spell out in plain language an attacker s plan to hold the speaker of the house hostage and to break her kneecaps as a message to democrats. some republicans still find this somehow funny. about 50 million put into increasing school safety with school school resource officer, armed officers to make sure we re protecting our kids. it is not impossible to protect our kids at school. they act like it is. nancy pelosi, well, she s got protection when she s in d.c. apparently her house doesn t have a lot of protection. back to that sad story in a moment. up first, the final midterm sprint. you see big n
learned at that rally is that this community is on the lookout for him. they have started a campaign called, where s george? in an effort to spot him out here. they might be advantageous if the weather is a little bit cold and not many people are out. the idea is to find him, tag him on social media, in a way to add pressure to answer to some of these allegations and to get him to step down. a lot of people in this district say, they don t think he can adequately represent their interests, given they don t really know who this guy is. that s coming from both sides of the aisle, people who voted for him and obviously those who did not support him to begin with. now, yesterday, his office was closed. two staffers did eventually open up this district office and they could not answer whether or not george santos would show up during this off week, if he would be here answering any of the complaints from the constituency. i want you to take a listen to what one of the voters told me, who we
be willing to give up my career for the same cause. that sounds innovative, but it s so true. we swear an oath to the constitution not because what we re gonna do is easy. and not because i take a poll every time i vote on things like should donald trump be impeached. what s my district say. it s because my oath is not to my district, it s to the constitution. and sometimes that s gonna be, hard everybody forgets that unfortunate way. including kevin mccarthy, liz cheney seems to have a special hatred of how he s betrayed s oath. do you share that? i gotta tell you, kevin is the biggest disappointment. probably of any friend i ve ever had. he was a friend. before the election, i started to notice he was defending donald trump more than he was defending his own members of congress. but he s the guy, he s the entire reason donald trump is
when you vote for congress relatively even here but that bodes well for republicans, 44% when you average the polls on this question say they ll vote republican, 43% democrat. republicans have tricked up a bit in that one over the past several months and, again, when you look at this map here, democrats on defense in so many districts, voters inclined to at least vote evenly for republicans when you look at the way house districts are drawn that benefits republicans big time. elissa slotkin is a democrat and understands how tough the environment is and welcomes the help of a conservative republican with whom she disagrees on almost everything. i think we have to sort of be honest with ourselves that there are things that are more important than any one person winning an election and my race is going to be a nail-biter. i ve known that from the beginning. it always is. and i m comfortable. if the people of my district say that i m not the right person then so be it but there has to be
