MoS inaugurates maternity ward extension in Kiphire; inspects medical college site

Dimapur, Nov. 12 (EMN): Union Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare (HFW), Dr. Bharti Pravin Pawar virtually inaugurated the maternity ward extension at District Hospital Kiphire on Saturday from Kohima. Pawar, who reached Kohima on November 11, reviewed the functioning of the healthcare delivery system in the state during a meeting at Raj Bhavan Conference hall in Kohima. The meeting was attended by secretary of HFW, Asangla Imti, along with Principal Director, Mission Director National Health Mission, Project Director NSACS and other officers from the department. SUMAN scheme launched in Kiphire - Eastern Mirror

Dimapur, Oct. 25 (EMN): The chief medical officer (CMO) of Kiphire, Dr. Chubala Aier, launched the Surakshit Matritva Aashwasan (SUMAN) scheme in the conference hall of District Hospital, Kiphire, on October 25. Speaking at the launch event, Dr. Chubala stated that SUMAN scheme is a significant initiative that aims at providing dignified and quality healthcare services to every woman and newborn visiting a facility. She stated that the scheme was an initiative by the government of India to put an end to preventable maternal and newborn deaths in the country, stated an update from the CMO’s office.
