Marie Nolan named interim dean of Hopkins School of Nursing

Nolan, professor and executive vice dean of the Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing, has been appointed interim dean of the school. She succeeds Patricia Davidson, who was named the vice-chancellor of the University of Wollongong in Australia, where she starts in May. Nolan was the Johns Hopkins director of the China PhD Program Collaboration between Peking Union Medical College and the School of Nursing funded by the China Medical Board. She is the former president of the International Network for Doctoral Education in Nursing.

Northwestern University President Morton Schapiro participated in the virtual celebration of the 50th “Innoversary” of the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) on Feb. 3. President Schapiro, who serves on the President’s Advisory Council of KAIST, was one of four keynote speakers who offered views on the roles and responsibilities of universities in confronting global challenges.
