The Hamilton County Health Department will hold three remote COVID-19 vaccination clinics tomorrow for people in Phases 1A, 1B, and 1B Part 2 of the vaccine rollout. Clinics will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. at the McLeansboro Fire Department, from noon to 2 at the Dahlgren Fire Department, and from 3 to 4:30 at the Broughton Community Center. Vaccinations will be administered on a first-come, first-serve basis.
The Illinois Eastern Community College Board of Trustees will meet tonight at 7 at Olney Central College. 43-year-old Fairfield resident Jason P. Nelson was sentenced in Wayne County Circuit Court yesterday. He pleaded guilty in December to a count of domestic battery, a Class A misdemeanor. The Wayne County Health Department will hold a drive-through vaccination clinic for prioritized Phase 1B individuals tomorrow. People should enter the staging area at the Wayne County Fairgrounds by its east entrance on West Main Street, and gates will open at 8. People should not go directly to the department, and no reservations for vaccines will be taken. The department receives a limited amount of vaccine for each first round of shots. The CDC will ship second doses separately, and people who are due a second dose will be contacted directly with a clinic date and time.
Fairfield police arrested 30-year-old Fairfield resident Feleishaa A.J. McKinney yesterday afternoon on a charge of retail theft. McKinney was booked in the Wayne County Jail and released after being given a notice to appear in court. ....

Here locally, boys and girls basketball season practices can start as soon as possible, as the season can start after seven practices. The end of the season is March 13. Cheerleading can start after seven practices. The end of cheerleading is March 13. The state series will be held virtually on March 6th and March 12th. The first day of football practice is March 3, with the first game scheduled on March 19th. There will not be a state series, with the season end date of April 24.
