Dion Guiterres Police have arrested and charged Dion Gutierres, 29, for failing to stop at a checkpoint and for reportedly having more than 60 pounds of weed in his possession. The incident dates back to Wednesday, December 9 when police received information of a sizable quantity of drugs being moved. They were told that it would be inside a red Volkswagen car. When a car matching that description passed the checkpoint near Mile 7 on the Philip Goldson Highway, police attempted to stop it. Its driver slowed down, but before the police got there, he sped off. Not too long after, officers found the vehicle crashed in some bushes and a number of saran-wrapped parcels containing suspected cannabis. The drugs were weighed to a total sum of 28,714 grams, or just over 60 pounds for which Gutierres was arrested. ....
