But also whether he and his aides and lawyers obstructed that investigation, took steps to throw sand into gears of how the justice department and national archives were trying to get these materials back. this story also has information about a flurry of new subpoenas that have gone out and how one of those subpoenas, that wants the trump organization asked for information related to liv golf. that is the saudi backed golf tour that is connected with donald trump in the years since he ran office. so, barbara, you re our veteran federal prosecutor here. hearing all of this from michaels reporting, how important do you think these developments are specifically in determining whether or not donald trump himself had the documents or if he directed someone to do so? ....

Fairly. [applause] and if it requires pardons, we will give them pardons. because they are being treated so unfairly. financially supporting people that are incredible, and it s a disgrace what they ve done to them. what they ve done to these people, it s disgraceful. i drove 30 hours to see an on my back hurts. i hear you. you just take care of yourself. that last woman actually served time for her actions on january six. look, michael, these are donald trump s own words. there are people out there who would say, we have it on tape, we see the video, what is the holdup? what is your reporting telling you about where the special counsel s in relation to donald trump some statements? ....

The documents investigation. there is an enormous amount of evidence around that, around actions that trump took to not hand these documents back, false statements, knowing false statements that were provided by his lawyers to the justice department that were not accurate. and, in larger behavior by him that shows a sustained way of acting with these materials. and, because of that, this sort of conventional wisdom of sorts in the former, federal prosecutor legal community is that there will be a decision sooner than there would be in sooner documents than there would be on january six. i remember the tweet, donald trump sent how come to d.c. is going to be wild. that was prior while before january six. so, ryan, the proud boys have been convicted. seditious conspiracy, four or ....

We i think there are two really significant things in the reporting, one is this focus on obstruction of justice. because i think that is the key to this case, and what makes it different from the kind of inadvertent retention that we see from joe biden and mike pence. it isn t so much that he has these documents but that he was evading the efforts of the department of justice to get them back. typically, cases involving this handling of classified documents are not charged criminally unless there is the presence of some aggravating factor and obstruction of justice would be one of those factors. so, that seems important to me. the other is the reporting that one of these subpoenas was for the trump organization s records related to the saudi backed golf league. connecting that up with an investigation into classified documents which causes me to wonder a lot of things. certainly, there is no answer to these things that we know, but is there some connection that perhaps there is some ....

Donald trump s involvement if there s any charges related to the january 6th attack itself. you know, this is a big win for doj because this was a big challenge, the sort of one for the gold here and they went for this case that involved seditious conspiracy charges and got 4 to 5 counts. and, it s very explainable why that bit count didn t go through. but they also kind of illustrate that the jury was playing very close attention to the evidence here and wasn t giving prosecutors everything that they wanted. because we have a conviction that comes back not guilty. they could, say this is what the jury fact. this is the, evidence and they found there was enough evidence to support the conspiracy decision. it s not really a win for dominic. as you see there, they re holding that shield because he still has significant criminal exposure. and was convicted of, as you said a felony in connection with the january 6th attack. so, it s not as though sentencing is going to be a walk in the par ....
