There is always an element of excitement among the netball community as the start of another season looms, but this year there seems to be a growing enthusiasm for one team in particular.
Over their 24-year history, the Queensland Firebirds have built a loyal fan base, most notably during the trans-Tasman championship era (2008-2016), where they reached five grand finals and won three premierships.
In recent years, they have struggled to replicate that success, making the semi-finals just once in four seasons of Super Netball. ....
