KP govt gets possession of Dilip Kumar, Raj Kapoor houses Top Story June 2, 2021 PESHAWAR: Peshawar Deputy Commissioner has announced the award for the acquisition of ancestral houses of Indian film legend stars Dilip Kumar and Raj Kapoor, after which the ownership of both the houses have been transferred to the Director Archeology and Museum Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The Department of Archeology and Museums has taken possession of both houses late Monday night. The provincial government had decided in 2020 to convert both houses into museums. According to two award letters issued from the office of Deputy Commissioner Peshawar, the archeology department had decided to buy both houses to convert them into museums. ....

White Star PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa directorate of archaeology and museums on Tuesday took the possession of ancestral homes of Bollywood legends Raj Kapoor and Dilip Kumar inside the walled city of provincial capital. The development came after the deputy commissioner of Peshawar issued a notification of the transfer of the ownership of both properties located in the old city to the archeology department during the day. The provincial government had announced in Sept last year that it would acquire both properties and turn them into museums after restoration. ....
