Why wasn't Amber Alert issued for Greene County boys found dead with their dad?

Why wasn t Amber Alert issued for Greene County boys found dead with their dad? Harrison Keegan, Springfield News-Leader Their faces had been plastered all over social media the last few days. When the Greene County Sheriff s Office gave word Friday that Darrell Peak, 40, and his two sons Mayson, 3, and Kaiden, 4, were missing and possibly in danger, thousands of strangers shared the information on Facebook and Twitter, hoping the children would be spotted and safely returned home. Awareness was certainly generated, but after the father and sons were found dead Monday evening in an abandoned structure off of Highway 65 in Benton County, many people have been left wondering why an Amber Alert which would have sent notifications to cellphones across the state was never issued for the missing children.

Bodies found of father, sons who disappeared

Bodies found of father, sons who disappeared     Benton County, Missouri (KCTV/KSMO ) A family is now planning a funeral for two young boys and their father after deputies found their bodies on Monday. Four-year-old Kaiden Peak, 3-year-old Mason Peak and their father, Darrell Peak, were found dead near where they were last seen on Thursday. The Missouri State Highway Patrol says this case doesn’t meet all the criteria for an Amber Alert. Authorities said Darrell Peak took his two sons from near the family home on Thursday, but when the family filed a missing person’s report on Friday, deputies said there wasn’t any reason to believe he would hurt his sons in any way which meant no Amber Alert.
