Walking into her parent s house isn t the same anymore for Katie Peak.
Where she used to hear the sounds of her 3-year-old brother Mayson and 4-year-old brother Kaiden rushing to the door, now Katie Peak is met with silence. The house just feels empty, she said.
Katie Peak s family is grieving after her father Darrell Peak, 40, took Mayson and Kaiden from the family home in Greene County and traveled to the Warsaw area where authorities say he killed the boys and then himself.
Katie Peak, 20, said the family believes her father s untreated mental illness played a major role in the events.
