Monday’s Wood River City Council meeting will tackle the possible resumption of spending on the Rec Center project. There are three items on Monday’s agenda concerning the issue: one approving the resumption of spending, another increasing the line item in the budget to do so, and another to execute the agreement with the state to receive the $2.5-million grant that had recently been approved.
Mayor Cheryl Maguire tells The Big Z they needed to act quick to meet the state deadline and not lose that money.
