In terms of the topics tackled its a fair point that the people who are in the decisionmaking positions are perhaps not in touch as they should be with some of these other questions, like inequality and race but i think that by and large the main organizations are at least making efforts to address that. Look, its an absolutely excellent point, diversity is important not just for the sake of diversity, because it does give other perspectives on whats the story, and you know, this doesnt speak directly to the issue of women or africanamericans or minorities, but how you
We hear so many vehicle versus bicycle accidents that are fatal. This man is lucky to be alive. I just got off phone with him. He said he is bruised and scraped but otherwise doing okay under the circumstances. But a scary ordeal. He said a driver came after him and seemed to just keep coming. This according to the cyclist anthony ryan. Witnesses able to shoot some video of the tail end of that incident. Ryan said he was just north of ocean making a left turn in the lane when a car came up and hit the horn. He said the driver pulled up and tried to open the door apparently to knock him off the bike. He said he tried to get away across the street. The driver followed him. He believes he intended to ram him. He said he tried to get away and get a picture of the parking lot. But he got away. It escalated even more. He put his car in reverse and tried to run into me again. And i kind of dodged him. But at that point he was behind me. And i was basically kind of riding for my life with this

Families. Whichever family it was relevant to. It is a really strange thing because i didnt feel i have to go to the fbi didnt want to go to the fbi because i didnt think wed get to the families. When i went directly to the families, they many times all the time or happy to have the spirit of what are they going to do with the information once you get it. Now how do you operate on it whether someone is saying i know how to make contact with the kidnappers or whether it is information about where people are being held or anything like that. We passed it onto the families but there was always this empty feeling they would not be effectively worked on because of the failure of the government to assist. I think that is a success of the british philosophy in terms of having two diplomats totally delegated to helping hostage families understand what is going on. They dont pay ransom either.
