New Delhi: As the world adjusts to the new normal, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has decided to introduce cashless and touchless transactions for commuters. The DMRC initially introduced Quick Response (QR) codes and other digital payment-based systems amid the pandemic.
Recently, the Delhi Metro invited Expression of Interest from private firms to upgrade its existing Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) system to enable QR code, bank account and RuPay based ticketing on its network.
