The city has reported 7,897 new Covid-19 cases and 39 deaths in the last 24 hours, according to the health department. The positivity rate has risen to 10.21 per cent, breaching the 10 per cent mark for the first time this year. The Covid-19 positivity rate mid-November last year had stood above 15 per cent.
