New Delhi: A day ahead of the launch of the third phase of the COVID-19 vaccination drive, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Friday (April 30) appealed to residents of the city not to queue up at vaccination centers as vaccines have not yet been received. 
People aged 18 to 45 will be eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine from May 1. 
CM Kejriwal further informed that three lakh doses of Covishield had been assured to the city in the next few days. ....

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday said that the city government will provide Covid-19 vaccine to all Delhiites for free. Addressing the media here, Kejriwal also called for uniformity in prices of COVID-19 vaccines and urged the vaccine manufacturers to cut the price to Rs 150 per dose.
Delhi government has decided to provide free vaccines to everyone above 18 years of age. Today, we have given the approval for the purchase of 1.34 crore vaccines. We will make an effort to ensure that it is purchased soon and administered at the earliest to people, he said. ....

Delhi Covid-19 vaccination: Over 18,000 beneficiaries vaccinated on Wednesday, overall tally tops 3.4 lakh

On Wednesday, 18,599 people were vaccinated, including 4,263 healthcare workers who got their second dose, as the inoculation drive picked up pace.

New Delhi: Over 3.4 lakh beneficiaries have received COVID-19 vaccine till date in Delhi since the start of the inoculation drive a month ago, with more than 18,000 people receiving the jabs on Wednesday, according to data shared by officials.
Of these, more than 1.41 lakh are healthcare workers and over 2 lakh are frontline workers, as per the data.
On Wednesday, coronavirus vaccine shots were administered to nearly 18,600 beneficiaries in Delhi. Two minor cases of AEFI (adverse events following immunisation) were reported, officials said. ....

NEW DELHI: Turnout for Covid vaccination slightly improved on Thursday when the government permitted frontline workers like Delhi Police personnel, civil defence personnel and sanitation workers besides healthcare workers to get the shots.
The overall turnout was 51.8% as 9494 people out of 18300 expected across 183 vaccination centres turned out to get the jab. The turnout was only 40.2% a day before. The number of frontline workers out of 9494 individuals was not available but officials said many of them turned out.
“The frontline workers were permitted from Thursday on pilot basis on some select vaccination booths. From Saturday the vaccination of the frontline workers will start on full-scale,” said an official. The frontline workers have played a crucial role in the Covid fight thus they were scheduled to get the shots after the healthcare workers.
