Rolling Hills board approves state funding of school construction project Apex Power Group agreement pays the local share of the nearly $44M project The Daily Jeffersonian The Rolling Hills Board of Education approved accepting $21,486,605 from the Ohio Facilities Construction Commission during Thursday s meeting to fund a construction project that will consolidate the district to a single location south of Byesville. The 51% local match ($22.4 million) for the $43.8 million project will be provided through an agreement reached several years ago with Apex Power Group, developers of the Guernsey Power Station. Between the financing from the state (OFCC) and the local agreement with the power plant, it basically doesn t cost the district anything, said Rolling Hills Board President Dennis Dettra. ....
Staff Report The Rolling Hills Local Board of Education recently met for a brief session prior to the district s winter break which starts on Friday. The board approved the following personnel items: • Cynthia Edmiston, bus driver, effective Dec. 7 • Maggie Hare, co-middle school cheer coach, effective Nov. 25 • Debbie Kackley, 21st Century Makers teacher, effective Dec. 2 • Kerri Rhinehart, Byesville Elementary secretary, effective Dec. 1 • Lisa Roe, 21st Century Makers substitute paraprofessional, effective Oct. 27. The board also approved the EOESC Business Advisory Council Plan, as presented, and voted to non-renew all fall coaching contracts for the 2020-2021 school year. The board will meet again at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 14 in the district s central office. ....
