Members of a Georgia State Patrol SWAT team, several U.S. marshals and two Daytona Beach police officers served a search warrant on the farm described by Daytona Beach Police Chief Jakari Young as “affiliated” with the NFAC, the Not F Around Coalition, a Black militia group in which Wallace had been a member.
Wallace might have been asleep in the treehouse at the time of the raid, said Frank Lempka, a spokesman for the U.S. Marshals Service in Georgia. Whether he was or wasn’t, the bright lights and loud announcement got his attention. He looked out of the treehouse and that s what he saw. He didn t have much of a choice, Lempka said.
