Members of a Georgia State Patrol SWAT team, several U.S. marshals and two Daytona Beach police officers served a search warrant on the farm described by Daytona Beach Police Chief Jakari Young as “affiliated” with the NFAC, the Not F****** Around Coalition, a Black militia group in which Wallace had been a member.
Wallace might have been asleep in the treehouse at the time of the raid, said Frank Lempka, a spokesman for the U.S. Marshals Service in Georgia. Whether he was or wasn’t, the bright lights and loud announcement got his attention.
"He looked out of the treehouse and that's what he saw. He didn't have much of a choice," Lempka said.
