Comings & Goings: Time to head downtown Shares If you haven’t checked out the new Centennial Plaza in front of the Hunt-Boyer mansion at 604 Second St., you should. The highlight is artist Susan Shelton’s 6.5-foot bronze Davis Centennial Seal, celebrating the 100th anniversary of the city’s vote to incorporate. The plaza includes bricks and new landscaping that highlights the historic mansion and its porch, which city officials hope to use as a mini performance venue. Sinisa Novakovic, owner of Mishka’s Café next door, is using some of the space to expand outdoor seating, and is “determined to restart jazz nights at the cafe that we had going for a few years a long time ago.” ....
