Coming here this evening what is surprising is the size of the area of where these crimes unfolded. This is one of ten crime scenes marking with victim Chris Martinez was killed. At sunset on the campus of Uc Santa Barbara hundreds of students hold candles in silence. They are solemnly paying respects to the victims of a mass shooting. Im shocked about this. I dont know what to say. Its so surreal. We hear about it happening to other schools and i would never thought it would happen to our school like this.
