David Royce Lovering, 77, passed away peacefully at home on January 29th, 2024. He was born on September 27th, 1946, to Royce and Joyce (McCall) Lovering in Granite Falls, MN. He graduated from Granite Falls High School in 1964 and joined the US Army in 1965 where he served in Vietnam from 1966-1967. He returned home and moved to the Twin Cities where he met and married Christie Mertz in 1977. Dave and Christie had their first child (Zach) in 1979 and moved to the Brainerd Lakes area where Dave went to technical school and started a small engine repair business. They moved to Pine River where they had their second child (Becky). Dave eventually became the Kitchigami Library’s bookmobile driver and retired in 2004. ....
