Ambassador Chris Stevens sent the state department several requests for increased encurity for diplomats in libya. Stevens and three other beericans were killed this past september 11 in a terrorist attack on the u. S. Consulate in benghazi and, in a separate attack that same night on a safe house where the consulate staff had been evacuated.
