philadelphia, blank slates and for those who come through the airport, well, the airport will be the first point of contact. from areas of new led lighting to a virtual library, to improved wifi, papal visit visitors will enter an airport that has been spiffed up. color has been added from planters and club chairs to the tile in some restrooms. older signage like this has been largely replaced with international directionals punctuated with simple white on red arrows. unlike septa which is gearing up to move twice its normal numbers during the visit there is so far no evidence here that extra flights are being scheduled. airline schedules are pretty well defined so we kind of know how many airplanes are coming and we know how many seats are on those airplanes. we can plan for that but we do think it will be busy. maybe thanksgiving style busy and we can deal with that. unlike thanksgiving when many travelers are returning home it s expected many will be newcomers. w ....

tracking the storm system. we ve traded the heat for some thunderstorms. the heat wave is over but we ve got thunderstorms moving through parts of the area. we have had some sun peek out toward the center city skyline but the main thunderstorm that we re tracking is passing just to the south of the area. you can see we ve got some drizzle lingering here toward philadelphia, extending into parts of southern new jersey, but our heavier storm moving out of northern delaware and into salem county. p pennsville seeing some heavy rain right now but we did to watch as this did produce heavy rain. we actually have a flood advisory in effect through 8:15 so you could be running into localized flooding there. we have additional storms off to the north and west that will be tracking eastward the next couple of hours so we ll need to watch for scattered locally strong storms, mainly where we see the yellow shading. coming up we ll take an hour-by-hour look of what we can expect t ....
