KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia – The authorities will step up on its rigorous inspection of express and tourist buses following a number of accidents involving such vehicles lately.
Deputy Transport Minister, Datuk Ab Aziz Kaprawi said the ministry will also conduct random checks at bus terminals as well as station enforcement officers in accident prone areas.
“The Ministry will be holding a meeting tomorrow with the relevant agencies to discuss further actions,” he said.
The agencies involved include the Road Transport Department and Land Public Transport Commission.
