Based on all information gathered over the past few days, our agency believes Huerta to be in danger a DASO news release stated. Police said Huerta called 911 from La Union, in southern Doña Ana County, on Thursday, May 27, requesting help. Upon arriving at the address, sheriff s deputies and U.S. Border Patrol agents searched the location but did not locate Huerta, according to a news release. Huerta called 911 again sometime later. Deputies discovered a woman in a green Ford Astro van with an unknown New Mexico or Texas license plate they later confirmed to be Huerta. Deputies said she was inside the van asking for help. They attempted a traffic stop on the van. However, The van fled in an unknown direction. ....
