This is a category 4 hurricane. Winds 130 Miles Per Hour, just sitting and battering the central bahamas. By later this evening, it will start to shift north away from the bahamas, and look at this new forecast track from the Hurricane Center. All the models started shifting eastward yesterday. Now the Hurricane Center is thinking this is going to stay offshore and u. S. Landfall not expected with Hurricane Joaqu ....

Hurricane joaquin, thank goodness for now, is moving away. Cindy looks like a big shift eastward with our computer model. Landfall in the United States is looking very unlikely. Far cry from what we were thinking a couple of days ago. Its still a powerful storm. The winds this morning, 130 Miles Per Hour just sitting there over the central bahamas. You can see that forecast track now offshore away from the eastern seaboard here. Well continue to monitor it very closely as we look at the weekend. Once again, heads up for the high tide. Coastal flood advisories up during the afternoon for that threat of splashover and minor coastal flood ....
The storm is moving off the coast, but there are still concerns. We have Live Team Coverage we begin with storm team 5 s danielle vollmar. Doug danielle the sky is beginning a bit of snow.
