The Danbury Library is hosting a Community Baby Shower on Saturday, April 27th, from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. This free event offers resources and support for new parents and families. The first 50 registrants will receive an early literacy tote bag filled with books and toys. Those who take part will be provided with information on health, housing, and childcare services. This February, the Danbury Library is featuring some exciting highlights. Head to the Danbury Museum where you can visit Marian Anderson’s recording studio and learn about one of Danbury’s most famous residents. On Saturday, February 3, children and families are invited to attend this year’s Take Your Child to the Library Day… part of the national event that celebrates the valuable role libraries play in raising ready learners for life. There will be games, crafts, prizes, and of course, the chance to borrow some fantastic books.
