Undercover and before sunrise, artist marc quinn and his team erected their statue without permission. On the plinth where slave trader Edward Colston stood until last month, they installed a resin replacement of a local womanjen reid. It was inspired by this photo of her taken during the black lives matter protests. Out with the old and in with the new. And i think thats that statue, putting aside it being myself, it definitely says colston is no more and its time for change, time to move on. People of my colour walking past that statue and knowing that change is happening ....
