The third of four candidates vying for the office of Alton City Clerk has reached out to The Big Z to announce her candidacy. Cheryl Ingle is one of four names on the ballot. It is a wide-open race, with incumbent Mary Boulds retiring once her current term is up. Ingle has worked for the city for 26 years, starting in the Clerk’s office and currently in the Comptroller’s office. She tells The Big Z she sees ways to improve how the office operates, including working more seamlessly with the county and state. Also running for clerk are Dan Herkert, Steven Kimbrough Sr., and Lori Bockholt. Election Day is April 6 ....
