Peacefully at his home on Friday, December 18th, Thomas George Mustapic, age 61 passed away in the arms of his loving family after a difficult battle with ALS. Tom was born in Port Arthur to Ruth and George and attended Vance Chapman and Lakeview High School. He graduated from Lakehead University in 1982 and obtained his Chartered Professional Accountant designation. He worked at The City of Thunder Bay and Thunder Bay Catholic District School Board, retiring in 2014. Tom was a valued member of the Board’s senior leadership team and was proud of his contributions to Catholic education in Thunder Bay.
Tom was a true gentleman and was admired and respected by all who met him. He was a mentor to many and a friend to all. He was a wonderful husband and father and always put his family first. Tom’s legacy of kindness, generosity and love will live on through his sons, Christian and Matthew. He was happy to attend all their academic and sporting activities and was so very prou
