Victim identified in fatal Catasauqua house fire Updated Apr 06, 2021; Facebook Share The woman pronounced dead following Saturday’s house fire in Catasauqua has been identified as the homeowner. Cynthia Acerra, 75, was positively identified Tuesday evening by dental records, Lehigh County Coroner Eric Minnich said in a news release. Acerra was pronounced dead by Deputy Coroner Gabrielle Alcaro at 4:02 p.m. Saturday at the 119 Union St. fire scene, according to the coroner’s office. The cause and manner of death are pending further forensic testing, Minnich said. A 911 caller at 5:35 a.m. reported smoke coming from the home, and firefighters arrived to find fire amid “floor to ceiling hoarding conditions,” Catasauqua Fire Chief Rich Hertzog told lehighvalleylive.com at the scene Saturday morning. ....

Lindsey Mauldin, with the Pennsylvania Department of Health, says the state s COVID-19 vaccination program is kicking into gear. So far, more than 35-percent of the state s eligible population has received at least one dose. That s three percentage points above the national average of 32-percent, Mauldin says. That figures out to more than 5.7-million vaccinations. More than 2-million Pennsylvanians are considered to be fully vaccinated.
