Amaravati: Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy held a review meeting on COVID and Vaccination and directed the officials to take utmost precautions in wake of Black Fungus and focus on procuring injections for its treatment.
During the review meeting held at the camp office here on Monday, the Chief Minister said information is being received on White Fungus and Yellow Fungus and directed the officials to be on alert regarding them.
He said to make alternative arrangements for uninterrupted supply of oxygen in the wake of Yaas cyclone and added to focus on supply and storage of oxygen. He said 15,000 oxygen concentrators are being procured and instructed the officials to focus on their maintenance and set up a system to ensure they work properly. ....

Telangana: Yaas Cyclone is on its way to the east coast. At the moment, it s only an air bubble. The storm is expected to worsen by tomorrow morning, according to the MET department. As a result of the cyclone s effects, the Telugu states will experience rain for the next two days.
According to the 13.30-hour bulletin from IMD, It is located 590 kilometres east-southeast of Paradip, Odisha. It is 690 kilometres south-southeast of Balasore and 670 kilometres south-southeast of Digha in West Bengal. ....

Cyclone Yaas Effect: Temperature Dips in AP, Telangana; Rains Likely

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday morning, Cyclone Yaas developed over the east-central region of the Bay of Bengal. In the next 36 to 48 hours, it is expected that the cyclone is going to be very severe. The storm will cross north of Odisha and the adjoining West Bengal coast between Paradip and Sagar islands during the afternoon hours of Wednesday.
Cyclone Yaas will slowly move north-northwestwards and reach the north Bay of Bengal coast by the morning hours of May 26, the latest IMD cyclone forecast said.
Cyclone Yaas was located 600 kilometres north-northwest of Port Blair, 540 kilometres south-southeast of Paradip, and 650 kilometres south-southeast of Balasore at 5.30 a.m. on Monday. ....

Amaravati, May 24: Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy attended the video conference virtually held by Union Home Minister Amit Shah with Chief Ministers of West Bengal, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh and Lieutenant Governor of Andaman Nicobar to review preparedness in wake of the Cyclone Yaas.
During the Video Conference, the Chief Minister said, based on the cyclone movement, the impact of Yaas on the state is likely to be less. He said officials of all concerned departments have attended the video conference held by the Union cabinet secretary on May 22 and the state government is on high alert to deal with the cyclone. ....
