What my teenage daughter has taught me about surviving lockdown

What my teenage daughter has taught me about surviving lockdown From clever ruses to escape Zoom meetings to meal planning, it turns out that teens are full of bright ideas! I’m grazing from the biscuit tin. But my 16-year-old daughter, Sophie, has other ideas. On a 15-minute breather from online, lower-sixth schooling, she bustles around the kitchen with industrial focus. Spooning shards of ice, a sprinkle of coffee, spoon of cocoa powder and slug of milk into the blender, she whisks with enthusiasm before taking a pull from a long glass.

Family at the heart of new Delicious Cafe

“Most of the menu is built off of family recipes,” said co-owner Adara Jones. It’s a family-centered business, with Jones serving as the chef of the business she co-owns with her mother, Dannielle Davidson. Davidson is a loan officer at Bay Equity. Four of Jones’ siblings also work at the cafe, located in the former location of The Culture Crepe. The menu includes a brief background of the family behind Payson’s newest restaurant. “The Davidsons are a local Payson family, having grown our roots in this town for over 15 years,” it reads. “We went to school here, got married here, and now our kids are growing up here, too. This is nothing more important to us than family and community, which is why we strive to bring only the freshest locally sourced products to your table.”
