Companies across Cumbria have given their employees hampers to say thanks for their hard work.
The gifts also supported county businesses, as firms including British Gypsum at Kirkby Thore, David Britton Estates, Penrith and Allan Stobart Fuels, Raughton Head, worked with Chestnut House, at Pooley Bridge, to put the hampers together.
In the week before Christmas, staff at Chestnut House, owned by Andrew and Emma Kaye, collated and packaged over 300 Christmas hampers.
Jane Warner, senior administrator at British Gypsum, said: âWe wanted to provide all 190 employees with a thank you gift as we canât get together to celebrate this year. ....

Festive fun and hamper delight for Pooley Bridge's Chestnut House

Being well-known throughout Pooley Bridge for their colourful characters, Andrew and Emma Kaye, owners of Chestnut House, took it upon themselves to spread some festive cheer.
And what better way is there to raise spirits than with an Open All Hours-inspired photoshoot?
Emulating the award winning comedy s beloved characters, the positive-thinking pair got their team involved, with Andrew and staff member Darren Todd stepping into the roles of Granville and Arkwright.
Andrew said: “During the lockdowns we felt it was important to make sure we stayed open all hours to serve the local community as best we could – Pooley’s equivalent of Arkwright’s Corner Shop. ....
