Here, they discuss their joint work over 20 years, and the upcoming opening of the Bourse de Commerce in Paris  Photography: Patrick Tourneboeuf Due to open in 2021, the Bourse de Commerce in Paris is the latest home for François Pinault to show works from his phenomenal art collection. This is the third time the French businessman has chosen Japanese architect Tadao Ando to convert a historical building into a contemporary museum for his collection (following the Palazzo Grassi and the Punta della Dogana, both in Venice). We spoke with Pinault and Ando about this hotly-anticipated project and their 20-year relationship.

© Jim Stephenson The new, sustainable building has been carefully crafted to sit in concert with the neighbouring buildings and succeeds in turning what was once a featureless car park into an animated civic square. Horris Hill is a day and boarding preparatory school for boys aged between 4 and 13, set within a rural campus in Berkshire. It is located on 85 acres containing woods, sports pitches, and a kitchen garden. Outdoor education and extracurricular activity are fundamental parts of the school, both of which help Horris Hill maintain a whole-school community ethos. Aerial Isometric The theatre, which is named after its main benefactor, Lord David Brownlow, founder of the David Brownlow Charitable Foundation, will significantly enhance the personal development of the 130 pupils attending Horris Hill. It will afford access to all aspects of theatre practice: performance, production, and design – and embed these into the culture of the school.

Curated by Dr. Lucia Savi and designed by Studio MUTT, with graphic design by Heather Whitbread at V&A Design Studio, and lighting by Studio ZNA, the exhibition features 300 items from designer handbags to despatch boxes, vanity cases to military rucksacks and explores our longstanding fascination with the bag. © French + Tye The design of the exhibition responds to the particular duality of bags - at once symbolic and intimately private - by creating two very different experiences across both levels of the Fashion Gallery, refurbished in 2013 by 6a.
