Mayor of Wexford frustrated as HSE refuses to engage in relation to Covid memorial garden

Plans to open up a memorial garden for those who lost their lives during the Covid pandemic have been met with a major stumbling block as the HSE appears unwilling to engage with Wexford County Council on the plan.

Calls to extend Wexford cycle scheme to nearby villages as town prepares to welcome Fleadh 2024

While the Wexford town bolt bike scheme has been a success since its launch last year, calls are now being made to extend it to the outskirts of the town so more people can avail of it. Sinn Féin candidate for the Wexford Borough in this summer’s forthcoming elections, Lorraine Smyth, is a resident of Barntown and says those living there should be able to access the bikes.

Wexford Rotary Tree of Remembrance captured the spirit of local community

A project which enabled people across Wexford to remember their loved ones during the festive period has raised almost €9,000 for local charities. The Rotary Tree of Remembrance was erected on the Quay in Wexford during December allowing the public to place yellow and purple ribbons with a name or a message dedicated to lost loved ones on the tree.
