DAR chapter honors local students
The Rincon del Diablo Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution recently awarded the DAR Bronze ROTC Medal to Ramona High School Cadet Lt. Cdr. ‘Movies in the Park’ features ‘Dragon’
“Raya and the Last Dragon” is the free feature movie scheduled at 7 p.m. Friday at Pine Valley County Park, 28810 Old Highway 80, Pine Valley. In a realm known as Kumandra, a re-imagined Earth inhabited by an ancient civilization, a warrior named Raya is determined to find the last dragon. It’s part of the Summer Movies in the Park, the largest free outdoor movie series in San Diego County, with more than 100 screenings at dozens of host parks. Bring your own picnic! DANA POINT, CA Cox Charities Advisory Board members surprised nine area high school seniors with scholarships to help cover college costs in a video call Friday. This is the second year in a row that Cox Charities opted to virtually announce the scholarship recipients in what they called a day of anticipation.
Cox Charities is the philanthropic arm of Cox Communications and is funded by employee donations, matched by Cox, and overseen by an advisory board of employees who volunteer their time. ....
