An accredited social health activist (ASHA) worker, who was vaccinated earlier, died on Sunday morning after suffering complications. She suffered a brain stroke causing her death, said authorities.
The ASHA worker, identified as Vijaya Lakshmi (42), fell ill soon after receiving the coronavirus vaccine on January 19. She was admitted to the Guntur Government Hospital (GGH) on January 21 after she had fainted.

As the third day of the COVID vaccine drive begins, there were a few glitches reported in the CoWIN app which disrupted the process in many states. In Karnataka, the vaccination drive that was conducted in 63 vaccine session sites also experienced some technical issues in many centres which have affected the overall procedure of the inoculation in the state. Many beneficiaries names were not found on the app and now it is reported that the drive is being conducted manually until the problem is resolved.
