Noida: The state government will take a final call on how private schools will operate during the upcoming academic year as well as the fee structure only after reviewing the Covid-19 situation, UP’s top education official said on Wednesday. Meanwhile, the district magistrate of Gautam Budh Nagar has said that while a cap has been put on fees for all schools in the city, they will not micro-manage the bills.
Vijay Kiran Anand, the director-general of school education, told TOI from Lucknow that a decision is still awaited on how private unaided schools will operate during the next academic session, slated to start from April 5. “We are yet to take stock of the Covid-19 situation. We will soon decide how schools will operate in the new academic session. Following that, schools will be advised on the fees they can charge,” he said. ....
