According to sources, the government had set the target of vaccinating 3 lakh people on Day 1 of the vaccine drive. According to a statement issued by the Central government, the vaccinations were conducted with two Made-in-India vaccines. 16,755 personnel administered the vaccine over 3,352 sessions to 1,91,181 beneficiaries in the massive nationwide program. Additional 3,429 beneficiaries were vaccinated in Defence institutions. As per the statement, no case of post-vaccination hospitalisation was reported.
