Attorney: Otero County prison releases client being held unlawfully

LAS CRUCES – A man incarcerated in Otero County Prison Facility is now free, almost a month after a judge ordered his release.
Johnny Malone was ordered to be released by Third Judicial District Court Judge Douglas Driggers on Dec. 17.
On Monday, attorney Kenneth Stalter, told the
Sun-News that Malone, one of his clients, was being held unlawfully at the OCPF weeks after the judge s order. On Tuesday morning, Malone s family contacted Stalter to say he was scheduled to be released later that day.  ....
