Events are beginning to return to Hendersonville, with a big weekend on tap downtown.
Closed streets, the opening of farmers markets, a new balloon festival and more are planned for Saturday, May 8. Here s everything you need to know.

Main Street will be closed to vehicles from First Avenue to Sixth Avenue all day on May 8. Cross streets will remain open.
Parking will be available near Main Street and handicapped parking will be available at Courthouse Square and City Hall.
Public restrooms are located at the Visitors Center on the south end of Main Street and at 125 Fifth Avenue on the northern end. ....
