This eagerly awaited ‘one-day’ auction was held as a ‘physical sale’ at the stunning Castle Irvine in Country Fermanagh with over 1,000 attending on the day to view the excellent collection of machines on parade.
For those unable to attend, this unique sale was conducted ‘on-line’ in real time, via the internet, with Euro Auctions marketing the event to a database of regular buyers in over 115 countries. On the day, over 1,000 bidders registered to take part in this sale from over 50 countries, including the United Kingdom, the Republic of Ireland, central Europe, Scandinavia, the USA and Canada, South America, the Far East, Africa, the Middle East and the Caribbean. ....

Ulster Canal: €12m project to revitalise communities

A €12m project to restore a disused canal that criss-crosses the Irish border could revitalise tourism and communities, campaigners have said.
The Ulster Canal runs through counties Armagh, Fermanagh, Tyrone, in Northern Ireland, and County Monaghan in the Republic of Ireland.
The last boat sailed on the waterway in 1931.
The Irish government has announced funds to reopen the canal between Clones and Clonfad, County Monaghan.
The final commitment to funding for the €12m (£10.4m) project, which will include a greenway, refurbishment, and a marina, was announced on Wednesday. ....
